I had such a fun time at my studio with Laura and Gary, who happen to be getting ready (any day now!) to welcome their brand new sweet baby! I love to personalize my clients' sessions to meet their wants and needs. So when Laura (who happens to be the owner of Atta Pup - a dog training company in my building) told me she wanted a candid-style session of her and Gary with their first baby, Nina - I couldn't wait!!

Congratulations again, Laura and Gary!! I know you guys are going to be the best parents!

Spring Mini Sessions! | Hagerstown, MD Photographer

Just in time for Easter, we're announcing our 2015 Spring Mini Sessions!

We offer a very limited amount of mini sessions per year so take advantage of this opportunity to have professional photos of your little sweeties at a reduced rate. All sessions will take place at our studio in Hagerstown, MD and will feature a spring theme. In order to ensure you will have the photos in your hands for Easter (or the hands of Grandparents!), we will be emailing the images within a few days following the session. These images will be fully retouched and high-resolution. Plus, we will include a print release allowing you to make your own prints and share with family and friends.

We have the following time slots available on Saturday, March 28th, but hurry - we're only offering 10. Once a time has been taken, this list will be updated.

The mini sessions are for children of all ages, however, we do ask that they are able to support themselves. Also, we are not able to photograph newborns for mini sessions as they need more time than we are able to offer.

All time slots are available on a first come first serve basis and will be reserved once the $50 deposit is received. When a time is agreed upon, you will receive a PayPal invoice to pay the deposit. The remaining amount is due at the time of your session.

The Studio | Hagerstown, MD Children Photographer

Our one-year-anniversary with the studio has officially came and went! As I reflect over the past year, I definitely learned a lot about my business and who I am as a photographer. When I first started, I photographed children primarily outside in the beautiful, natural light. Well, lets be realistic, the weather is not always beautiful and sometimes it's just downright miserable (hello winter 2014). I know first hand it effects the session; if children are cold or unhappy outside it WILL reflect in the photos.

When I thought about a studio, I pictured a small, dark space with bright off camera lighting rigs. Scary. And the typical studio photos. You guys know what I mean :) But the more I imagined what I would want in a studio and how it could reflect my business, the more I began to want one. My image was a bright, neutral space with high ceilings, nice flooring and simple backgrounds/props. I found exactly that in my studio at Mulberry Lofts in Hagerstown, MD. The best part is I can meet with potential wedding clients there as well as photograph children's sessions, cake smashes, maternity, and boudoir. Now, it's hard for me to imagine my business without it! I still love photographing children, families, and, of course, couples in the beautiful sun, but I'm so thankful to have an alternative on those cold winter days.

This is an iPhone picture of when I first moved in and we finished the floors. It looks a little different now, but this gives you an idea of the amazing light that pours through the windows.

Here's our most recent session. Rylee is the best one year old and photographing her was such an enjoyable task :)

Valentine's Day Mini-Sessions | Hagerstown, MD Photographer

Bring you favorite sweetheart(s) to our Valentine's Day Mini-sessions! This love-themed session is for children 3 months and older (no families or large groups) and will take place at our studio in downtown Hagerstown, MD. Our loft-style studio and simple Valentine-themed props are perfect for updating your children's photos or to get the perfect shot for a unique Valentine's Day card!

The mini-session includes 20 minutes, several poses, and 5-10 digital files delivered on a USB flash drive 2 weeks following the session. The cost is $185 - this is half the price of our regular sessions so it's a great time to update your children's photos at a discounted rate. If you and a friend sign up, you each receive $30 off a session!

I will confirm that time slot is still available and send you further information for your session. There is a non-refundable deposit of $50 due to hold your time. Cake Smash Session | Hagerstown, MD Children Photographer

So when one of my favorite Moms contacted me about a cake smash session for her daughter's first birthday at my studio I was thrilled! She had so many good ideas, I had visions - it was a match made in messy baby heaven. However, Myra had other plans. As in being extremely lady-like and using a spoon for much of the session. Even though we didn't get any truly smashed photos, we did get some pretty cute ones. After the cake smash photos, we did a few photos of both Myra and her big sister, Marielle. I love shooting in my studio and I think we are able to achieve such a classic, beautiful look. Enjoy!

Boudoir Photography | Hagerstown, MD

Since opening my natural-light studio in Hagerstown, MD earlier this year, the realm of possibility for my photography business really opened up. I love the ability to shoot whatever, whenever, and, of course, with ridiculous light. So when a friend approached me about the possibility of a boudoir session, I jumped at the opportunity and quickly became addicted. Boudoir is the perfect compliment to weddings and since I shoot primarily engagements and weddings, this makes perfect sense. Plus I think it's so sweet to gift to your husband, partner, groom, etc. Or, just to make yourself feel gorgeous. All of our sessions include professional hair/makeup to help you feel your absolute best!

A huge thank you to my amazing friend who not only was willing to be my first official boudoir session, but who let me share the images as well. She and her husband have been an amazing support to my business since the beginning (they were my first engagement session!) and I couldn't be more thankful to them. Oh, and by the way, she rocked it.
