Julie + Brian | Harrisburg, PA Wedding Photographer

Julie + Brian were married on September 6, 2014 at Grace United Methodist and celebrated their union at the Civic Club in downtown Harrisburg, PA.  Although torrential rain and severe storms were threatening to ruin their perfect day, concern never crossed their face, only happiness and excitement.

Those who know them, know that Julie + Brian are an incredibly special couple.  To back up a few steps, they are incredible individuals.  They are both extremely kind hearted, interesting and sweet, so together they are the perfect power couple.  The way they talk to each other (and look at each other) is something to witness; it is remarkable to see such a strong love and a deep bond.  Truly, I am just in awe of Julie + Brian every time I'm around them.

They live in Harrisburg and really wanted their engagement session and wedding day to showcase their love of the city.  Both of their venues and their getting ready location,  the Hilton Harrisburg, are all downtown staples of our gorgeous capital.  They even meticulously planned several locations around town for their portraits.  While normally this can be a stressful event with limited time, they are so organized and we planned the time allotted down to the minute.  It worked out perfectly and they have so many beautiful and unique images to remember this special day by.

Not only are they such a fun couple to photograph, but they both appreciate photography, which for me is the perfect match :)  They love classic, yet artistic images which is exactly what we created for them.  In addition, they love the moments captured.  They aren't the type to base their day around tons of details, they wanted their day to reflect their love and their family and friends.  And I believe their day was just that.

Julie + Brian, thank you, thank you, thank you from the very bottom of our hearts for inviting us into this special time in your lives.  We are so grateful to have witnessed your love and are so happy to now call you friends.  We wish you nothing, but endless years of love, health, and happiness and we know you will get nothing less.  Congratulations on marrying your best friend :)

Julie's hotel suite had amazing light and interesting decor.  I love to create unique images for each wedding using the light and available items.

We  hung her dress on the side of the hotel - 13 stories up!  No worries, there was a balcony and we were extra careful.  I wanted to do this because I love the reflection of the sky and city in the background.  It provides such a great story about their day.
Julie's dress is an absolute stunner.  It's the palest shade of pink and the bodice was barely translucent.

I love this moment of calm in the midst of one of the highest stress moments for any bride.
Julie has such a sweet relationship with her parents and I just love their reaction to seeing their daughter as a bride for the first time.
Meanwhile, Aaron was with Brian while he was getting ready.
They took a few minutes to themselves while waiting for their ride to arrive.  I love stolen moments on a wedding day and always try to keep my distance while documenting these moments.
After family portraits, we went back in the church for this photo that I couldn't get out of my head.  It turned out perfect.

I really love all the urban shots!
Julie + Brian are what you would refer to as unfairly gorgeous :)
This dress was perfect for Julie.  It's the type of dress that could overpower a bride if she doesn't have the confidence to carry a dress like this, but she carried it very well and it was a statement piece.

So many of our couples are mixing up the first dance.  A little slow, a little fast, and a ton of fun!  I love all the personality it showcases.
