Emily + Brian: Married | Carlisle, PA Wedding Photographer

Texans Emily + Brian made the trip back to Emily's childhood home in Carlisle, PA to celebrate their beautiful wedding day.  As I expected, their big day played out just as perfectly as they planned.  Emily was diligent in her organization and, together, we planned out a timeline that allowed them plenty of time for photos, but even more time to enjoy their day.  No lie, I didn't see these two stress one bit and that's exactly how a wedding day should be :)

Upon meeting them at a small coffee shop just a couple months prior to their wedding, I was immediately drawn into the friendship these two share.  They are kind, patient, and loving towards one another.  I just love meeting couples like this because I know that whatever life throws at them they will have no problem navigating.  In addition to being the sweetest, most kind couple, they have a wonderful group of family and friends.  We instantly felt like 'part of the group' on their wedding day, which allowed us to truly document the loving relationship they all share.  After a long winter, it's always a little difficult to get back into wedding mode, but I didn't have those feelings with Emily + Brian's wedding.  In fact, as I joyfully watched these twos souls become one, I was instantly reminded why I am a wedding photographer and how blessed I am to witness these inspiring unions.

Emily + Brian, congratulations again on your beautiful marriage.  You both deserve the very best and we wish you nothing less than all the blessings your hearts desire.  Thank you for entrusting this ever important day to us - we are forever grateful to have met you.

.................

Emily's mom is an extremely talented artist/designer and had a hand in many of the day's details.  Now, I don't know for sure, but I want to believe in my heart it wasn't a coincidence their from door is purple, one of the wedding colors.
Emily's beautiful veil is actually her Mom's.  Her sister also wore the veil for her wedding.  With a few pieces of the veil that her Mom altered, she added a little personal touch to Emily's shoes.
Emily's Maggie Sottero wedding gown from Dora Grace Bridal was nothing short of breath taking. I've never seen more of a delicate wedding dress and the lace was simply stunning.
Everyone was in awe of Emily as a bride.
Since only Emily's Mom, sister, and Aunt were present during the getting ready process, it was fun to see Brian's Mom, Emily's Dad, and her bridesmaids see her for the first time.

While Emily was getting ready, Brian was busy doing the same.
It was finally time for the big reveal...
Another proud Mom moment :)
One of the super unique aspects of this wedding was that everything was in walking distance.  So after getting ready and a few photos, everyone walked to the church.
After the wedding, everyone paraded down the street to the cocktail hour at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill.
Ribbon wands, kazoos, and all...
We detoured for a few more photos in the beautiful setting sun light.
So sweet!
Aaron found this 'abandoned' house and thought it would be a great photo op.  I wasn't so sure, but when Emily + Brian were for it so was I!  Turns out it wasn't abandoned, however....
We finally arrived at the ribbon mill just in time for some beautiful light.
The reception was absolutely beautiful!  All the custom linens and stunning arrangements were so perfectly displayed.
I love how they incorporated a little bit of Texas!
Their first dance was dreamy...
I glanced over my shoulder for one second and saw Brian's brother and fiancée being absolutely adorable.  I love these unexpected moments at weddings.
The cake was so unique, The Uncommon Caterer did a fabulous job.
There are few better photos than those captured of the parents of the bride and groom together during the reception.  These are photos that our couples will go back to year after year and truly cherish.
We loved working with DJ Wil of Titus Touch Music!
Because both Emily + Brian (and a TON of their guests) are Texas A&M alumni, they made sure to sing the Aggie War Hymn before the night ended.
