About Jennifer
Jennifer sees life in the moments. She believes that the moments of our lives create the stories that make up the very fibers of who we are.
Born in a Philadelphia suburb and later making a move to south central Pennsylvania has allowed Jennifer to familiarize herself with many aesthetics and cultures. While she loves photographing in a city environment, she calls the quiet, slow pace of a small town her home.
Introduced to photography in the dark room at Shippensburg University, she developed more than an image on a piece of paper; she developed a love for documenting life. This love coupled with her degree in Journalism made her the perfect candidate for a wedding photographer.
She started Jennifer Rotz Photography in 2010 during one of the most challenging chapters in her life. Her father was battling cancer, which subsequently took his life in 2011. From that moment, Jennifer became acutely aware of those around her who may have their own stories to share.
Because of the raw emotion, moments, and unique stories, Jennifer has chosen to focus her business specifically on wedding + lifestyle portrait photography. Her style can be best described as modern and classic. While she adheres to the time-proven techniques of what makes a beautiful photograph, she brings a fresh, artistic approach to each wedding + session while utilizing beautiful light to tell her clients’ stories.
When she’s not behind the camera, she enjoys working in the garden, chatting with her Mom over a glass of wine, and exploring life with her husband, who is at the root of everything she is and does.
