The way he looks at her. It's one of the most endearing looks I've ever seen. In fact, during John's Dad's speech he commented on that very same look. Sara and John are one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth couples I've been lucky enough to meet. Sara is very matter of fact and knows exactly what she wants. And John knows exactly what's best for her. It's the perfect match.

They were married October 20, 2012 at the Peter Allen House in Harrisburg, PA. This was the perfect backdrop for a fall wedding. The venue has a rustic elegance to it, yet classic all at the same time. This motif fits Sara and John to a tee. After I photographed Sara getting ready, I was still thinking about her wedding day style: pearls, lace, and her Grandfather's handkerchief tucked into her dress. Classic. Then I came across their unity candle, which bared their full names: Sara Jane and John Thomas. Classic. It's a theme that stuck with me all day, even during their portraits, which are not trendy; they will be relevant 10...20...50 years from now.

They didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, so they decided to, instead, do this. I think just having the familiar touch helps calm a few nerves.
