Out of the Office

We'll be out of the office for a few days for a little trip up north.  I am beyond excited to be traveling to Portland, ME and breathing in all that wonderful, crisp, cool air.  The trip is all pleasure including attending (yes, ATTENDING!) a wedding and celebrating our friends' love.  I plan on eating a lot of lobster, strolling along the coast, and spending some way overdue quality time with Aaron.  We will definitely miss our pup, but we need some "Mommy + Daddy" time (yes, I went there).  Buuuut when I get back, it's back to business as usual with our last 4 weddings of the year AND some great blog posts.  Just to hold you over, here's a little preview of what's to come:

I will do my best to answer emails while we're away and I'll definitely have a lot to share when we come back!  Oh and feel free to offer suggestions (via commenting below!) for fun things to do/see and, of course, great restaurants :)

A Little Update

I'm so excited to introduce our new logo!  Thank you (times 1,000,000!) to Worx Graphic Design for truly listening to me and knowing EXACTLY what I want when I don't even know what I want.  I designed my old logo before I even started my business and it's seen me through some wonderful times, but as my business has changed (and I have changed) it was time to do something about the old logo.  When I designed the old logo, I had NO idea why or what I wanted, just something that looked appealing to me.  But I now realize it's not just suppose to look pretty.  It needs to serve a purpose.  It needs to convey who I am and what type of photography I love and therefore attract clients who love the same type of photography.  So without further adieu...

Gorgeous, right?!  It's not a huge change, just a little update and a much needed breath of fresh air.  I have so many gorgeous weddings and sessions to share with you in the coming weeks, plus updates of Keira and everday life.  Until then, I'll be basking in the beauty of my new logo :)

Erica + Dan: Married | York, PA Wedding Photographer

Our 2012 wedding schedule was filled nicely, but it still felt like something was missing.  Enter Erica and Dan.  We met up with them at The Pub and Restaurant in Gettysburg, PA for some drinks, dinner, and wedding chat and I just knew they were the perfect, final addition to our year.  These two have such a tight bond and enjoy so many of the same hobbies.  One that sticks out in particular is their love of national parks.  In the beginning of their relationship, they vowed to visit every national park in the United States.  Together.  They have checked quite a few off the list, but now they get to complete their goal as husband and wife.

Erica and Dan were married at the gorgeous Stone Mill Inn in York, PA on a warm August day surrounded by all their closest family and friends.  I would be hard pressed to find a family with more love to give than theirs.  Everyone was so warm, supportive, and simply filled with joy.  Their self-written vows to each other were nothing less than beautiful.  Just looking at their faces it was evident how deeply in love they are and I have zero doubt that they will truly live happier ever after.

Thank you so much Erica and Dan for allowing us to share in your special day.  You two are blessed to have such a beautiful bond and we couldn't have asked for a better couple to round out our 2012 wedding season!

Seeing Dad for the first time

I know what you're thinking and yes Erica is absolutely stunning!

The beautiful cake is by Karen Rodkey.  She did our wedding cake and is a must have for your wedding.  Seriously.  She had a cake in Martha Stewart :)
