Jennifer Rotz Photography: Carly + Dan | Lancaster, PA Wedding

When we entered the Marriott Lancaster at Penn Square, where both Carly and Dan were preparing for their big day, we were inundated with about 8 other weddings. There were bridal parties and photographers everywhere; it was quite the wedding frenzy. However, when we went into Carly's room there was a calm feeling in the air and she was definitely in a peaceful state of mind. After photographing a few details and getting ready photos, we went to Riverdale Manor for their first look. From the moment they locked eyes, I could tell this was going to be an amazing day.

Carly and Dan have so much fun together and it's obvious they are best friends. When we were photographing bride and groom portraits, I couldn't get over the sweet way Dan looked at her. They have an easy kind of love, the kind that only happens when a couple has a tight bond. In addition to being an amazing couple, they have the best friends as well. Their reception was full of energy and a lot of fun dancing!

Their day was full of emotion and beautiful moments. We were able to easily capture their love on both photo and film. Aaron shot video of their day and it really complimented the photographs to encompass the whole story. Scroll down to the end of the post to see the video.

As I mentioned, Carly has some pretty amazing friends. And what's better than amazing friends, is a friend with some pretty serious connections. Carly was able to borrow these gorgeous diamonds from the jewelry store her friend works at. I'm always careful with wedding day jewelry, but lets just say I was EXTRA careful that day.

Meanwhile, Kaila was able to capture Dan getting ready close by.

We headed to Riverdale for the first look. I love when couples opt for a first look; it calms any nerves that may be lingering on a wedding day. Every time.

After the first look, we decided to photograph bridal party photos and save bride + groom portraits for after the ceremony when the light is especially gorgeous. Seriously love my couples.

The ladies rocked this.

Right after the ceremony, they took a brief second to celebrate with their bridal party and family. These are some of my favorite moments on a wedding day.
